The latest EyeStyle and Savaspex news
The second Eye Style Opticians opened its doors in Neston in October,
1998. The practice was previously John Prebbles Opticians.
In September, we had a stand at the Wirral Globe Lifestyles Exhibition
held at Hulme Hall in historic Port Sunlight. The aim was to raise
our profile and increase awareness of the importance of good eye care.
In addition, we held a prize draw in which the prizes were a portable
colour TV, a pair of Versace sunglasses and a pair of cK sunglasses.
With over a hundred entries for the draw and many pint sized visitors
seizing our free colourful balloons, the event was a major success
for us.
In August, Eye Style Opticians in Moreton, became a Spectacle Collection
Centre (link to Do you collect specs for charity) for the West Wirral
Lions Club who collect old and unused spectacles and sunglasses to
be sent abroad to developing countries in need. If you want to donate
your old glasses or just want rid of them, drop them off at any of
our branches or alternatively, post them to us at Eye Style (Moreton).
Where Do I find You.
At the same time, Eye Style Opticians (Moreton) became a fundraiser
for the London based charity Fight for Sight. This charity,
set up in 1965 to raise funds for research into the prevention, treatment
and cure of eye disease, is in the forefront of the battle against
blindness. We have a collection box in the practice and every donor
receives a smart metal pin badge in the shape of a pair of spectacles
to wear on a lapel or tie.
